I spent $40 on Bosch Icon wiper blades. It was snowing here a lot and before going into the mall I put both wiper blades up so they won't freeze on the windshield. I came back and SOMEONE STOLE MY BOSCH ICON BLADES AND PUT THEIR [censored] BLADES ON MY CAR!!!!!

I HATE THIEVES. I'm tired of people stealing. I'm a hard working American and I work hard for my money. geez.

Pretty polite for a theif. Can't believe they took the time to put their old ones on your car. Very weird.

But politeness aside, that sucks man. May they forever chatter across that tools windshield!

You've got it all wrong. That was so that they could appear to be replacing the wipers on THEIR car. It's sorta like hitting someone's car in the mall parking lot and writing a note informing the owner that you indeed hit their car and that writing the note was to give the false impression that you were leaving contact info so that any observers wouldn't report them.

Ding ding, we have a winner! Very smooth, could do it in daylight and not attract attention.

Not much solace for you, but I believe in Karma. What goes around, comes around. But yeah, it sucks.

Should have added razor blade ice scrapers to your blades. That would have fixed the slime bag thief. Of course if you make the thief mad they might just kick in your quarter panel or something worse.

I've had a dark admiration for the simplicity of how some thievery was conducted in plain sight. For us (semi) normals ..they're invisible. I've also been a victim of it from time to time.

The one that I thought was REALLY trick was at this smaller specialty steel company. A couple of reasonably clean cut guys in coveralls showed up with a clipboard writing down numbers on the dollar bill changer. They then rolled in with a dolly and carted the thing off. They did it on a Friday after the office was closed. It took well into Monday when the vending company showed up to service the machines. The guy stocking the machines with food didn't even know if anything was wrong just because it was gone. This was back in the 70's and most places are pretty paranoid about anyone at this point.

You can tell I don't have a criminal mind. Yet another reason to use cheapies I guess!

this happened at my wife's office a few months ago. she works in a two story office building with about ten different companies in it. the company she works for owns the building. one day a couple of guys came into the foyer and were checking over the vending machines, wrote down some stuff on a clipboard and loaded them up into a box van. needless to say, they didn't work for the vending companies. the best part of the story is that my wife's boss was holding the doors open for the guys while the were carting the machines out of the building.

i guess when times get tough, people get desperate.

Doesn't make it right.

Being poor and needing to steal food so as to survive/feed kids, I can understand. I may disagree with it and would likely be a bit put out if it was my food that was stolen, but I can understand it.

Stealing wiper blades? There's no reason for that. Not only are wiper blades cheap (ok, maybe not the Icons, but generally wipers are cheap), but they're rarely critical to the operation of one's car. Even if they're smeary and chattery, they can get the job done well enough. That's just messed up.

I think LT was stating a tongue in cheek bleeding heart lib slant. The odds of a low income single mom bothering with wiper blades as some "need" to the point of stealing them is a bit on the obscure side of reasonable. She may do many things for stuff ..but swapping out wiper blades would be one of the last things I can imagine.

Now if she's like the professional panhandler ..and not REALLY a lower income single mom ..but playing like one ..then sure...you're a wipe as far as she's concerned and there for the fleecing in "helping herself" ...so to speak.

I agree, also my wipers have NEVER frozen to the windshield and I leave them down all the time.
