Stubby Pneumatic Impact Wrench

Mechanics used a slide hammer, pry bar, long punch and torches to remove them before these tools came along, I have never done a Subaru ball joint without having a world of trouble before this type of tool.
Is a cordless impact necessary? Mechanics lived without one for a almost 100 years. Use one, try it out before posting it is no good. It is really okay for some jobs.

I’m open to buying tools to try, but I guess I just struggle with this one. Its length is only about 1/8” shorter than the 1822v2 I purchased; the only selling point is the flex head….which is something that I have yet to miss.

I wouldn't buy one just for the flex component, when I bought it I didn't have a right angle. These the flex head are not significantly less powerful than the standard right angle, the 2612 and Astro are identical, no wonder it is patented by Astro.

Update:

Trigger on the 1828v2 is not very progressive. Output seems to go from 10-80%; there isn’t much in between. Probably isn’t the best choice for lug nuts, even when dialed down to speed 2, unless you are using a torque stick.

That seems to be an issue with many lower price air tools. Look at the Astro big nasty and the CP 717, I have the 717 and it has perfect trigger control.
