I've been hearing a sound from my front left tire, no other way to describe it other than...whop whop whop...LOL I had my tire shop check it out, and make sure its balanced, it is. The tire is new with only 6k on it, and it was on the back, and recently rotated it to the front. So it hasn't been on the front very long. This noise I've been hearing may have been doing this even before I rotated..but not sure. Will a bad strut cause this to sound like this? I get no vibration from the steering wheel at high or low speeds, and the vehicle does not drift at all. Sound like a strut going out?

I'd go for the old "bumper bounce" test, if your strut is totally shot your tire may have been bouncing like a basketball and wearing funny. Though the tire shop should have noticed stuff like cupping etc.

Sometimes the tire will have a dud belt from the get-go, if it was on the rear until the 6k rotation you may not have heard it.

If you still have 10/32" tread you might be able to get a new tire under "manufacturers defect" warranty-- not road hazard. Or a prorated one for only a few bucks.
