Strange Running Issues

Engine had occasional high misfire count, high knock counts and at other times nothing. I decided to scope the CPS but saw it was leaking oil so for $15 for a Bosch new one its getting replaced.
They couldn't get the O ring in so the ground it down with a dremel and tossed the O ring and used some RTV. The RTV finally got eaten away and the thing was loose in the hole. How not to install a CPS.

People call it Euro trash but this is the sort of hack crap I see on a regular basis.

Yes in a groove. They ground it all away.

Only when they aren’t in useable condition and the customer won’t pay for a new one .

When it does?

Send pictures of the wheel hub bearing job someone will do with a hammer when they don't have a press. Or at least, sensibly draw the hub on with the fastener hardware. ^.^

I watched a redneck buddy of mine do just that until the center race popped out and spilled the bearings out like a grandmother drops dentures.

"Uhhh, yeah, hey there? Do you have the bolts that came out from behind it around here somewhere?" *bang* >...(clatter)
