My calico cat Coco has a strange liking of saltine crackers... So when I am eating my crackers she always comes up and wants one. She gets one only. She has been offered pasta leftovers and she is not into that. I have tried to give her some pieces of ham and she's not into that either. My old cat loved lasagna leftovers, ham, turkey almost anything I ate she wanted to try. This strange calico cat is not into anything but saltines oddly enough. She is a good couch friend though.

My brothers cat is like that, no desire for meat but loves crackers and other bread-like foods.

Turns out it works on cats as well as humans, major dash for the litter box...

A salt craving may indicate a sodium deficiency. Beer cravings indicate a beer deficiency. At least that's what I keep telling my doctor.
But seriously, all my cats have liked potato chips. It's not like I feed my cats chips but sometimes they will snag one and enjoy it thoroughly.
My dog would sometimes eat potato chips but he loved to get the chip bag, stick his head inside, pull it inside out, and sit on his pillow and lick the salt off the bag.
Which animal doesn't love salt? 
One of our cats loved Chinese food, that and French fries.
Our two cats love crunchy people food. I was making a sandwich one day and dropped some lettuce. Then I hear crunching at my feet. It was the cat going to town on it.
A relative that had 2 Siamese cats that loved to eat corn on the cob. They would talk up a storm when they smelled it boiling .
Just about every cat I've has liked sweetcorn. It goes straight through them, but they love it.
My friends miniature pincer absolutely loved celery. It would go bonkers if you asked if he wanted some.
I had a black cat that liked donuts. I also had a cockatiel that sat at the dinner table and ate spaghetti.
