I saw this Y-frame full suspension bike at a SF car exhibit last week. There was no information on the bike and its electric assist drive, but it appeared to be a Chinese Shenzhen brand bike:

I wonder how much extra weight the motor and the batteries add to the bike. I've seen a few times some people attach this gas motor to their bike. For gas motors you just go fill up again. If you ran out of juice then recharging batteries will take a while. Imagine running out of juice half way up the hill, thats fun.
I don't think this bike is meant to be optimal or even practical under normal riding conditions, but that it is rather a demonstration of what can be done in a fairly compact package.
