For Spectrum Mobile they run your credit, but otherwise they have very good pricing but you must have Spectrum Internet as well.
Im not sure why anyone would want to sign up with a dearly loved PayTV company. People ranted for decades about price gouging but others will go to them for cell service. I dont get it. But to each their own.
Spectrum is not a cell company, they piggyback on Verizon network. So if you want Verizon and love your cable TV company, go for it.

or you can go to Red Pocket and pick any network you want to be one with no BS pricing and additional charges and not forced to buy a phone from Red Pocket. Of course Straight talk is also another good option with pricing similar to Spectrum.
Cricket is another option if you want to be sure to be on ATT network. A smart Walmart employee can set you up with the provider of your choosing too.
It's really easy to pick a service provider. Choose the network that you want to be on and go for it.
Pointless asking which is the best out of ATT, TMobile and Verizon as far as coverage. It all depends exactly where you live.
We hated to leave ATT on the East Coast, drop dead great service for a decade and in addition to my personal ATT phone my company provided phone was Verizon. ATT was 100% equal to Verizon.
We went to T-Mobile for price and almost free upgrades to Two new (at the time) iPhone 13's with us turning in our older iPhones.
WIth the Magenta 55+ plan at $70 a month for two unlimited everything lines it couldn't be beat. Next March will be two years and will decide if I keep the service or not. Depends if someone offers me something better. Heck they eve pay for a Basic Netflix Streaming Subscription and all other kinds of perks, Airplane data, overseas texting, stuff doesnt matter much to me though. The Tethering is nice to have for us. Dont have to use the hotel networks.
