unknown mileage in service

out/off: 7 quarts Royal Purple 5w-20 with STP XLS10060 C&P

in/on: 7 quarts Royal Purple 5w-30 with Carquest Premium 84060 (PG with silicone gasket, EXACTLY the same filter as the STP XL that came off of it)

filter looks good, wish it had a metal crimp though. the owner will not let me get him off royal
purple. he will spend anything to keep his baby on the road. i approached him about HPL and he said royal purple was the best on the planet lol. so i atleast bumped him to 5w-30

I couldn't take the peer pressure anymore I had to jump up to 5W30 from 5W20 and also give Valvoline synthetic a try.. I just haven't changed it yet..

Royal Purple been around for a very long time & is more available then ever these days so understand the hesitancy. Who's HPL? I bet that guys thinking..lol Filter looks real good. Long as the glued seem holds up no problems right.

There's nothing special about the regular Royal Purple on the shelf at Walmart and most people don't know that of course. The HPS lineup,XPR and HMX are much better Royal Purple oils.
