The STP & AC/Delco e-core's I've cut open held up better than the Super Tech's, and the formers had more milage. But the ST's were longer filters, witch may enhance the e-core's folding abilities.
It's a filter design made by champion labs. It uses a plastic cage and not a metal center tube. It's bypass is also part of the rubber adbv. Most STP, super tech, and ac delco are this design. When you go to the store just look down the center tube. If it's plastic with large openings it's an ecore.
I don't trust them entirely. Some of these on this forum apparently have had the media cut and pushed through the rather widely spaced plastic cage grids by the oil pressure. Then I assume it goes into the engine.
I try them a while back. I don't know the results since I didn't open it after I used it, but from the looks of it it's very cheap made. Get a better filter like every mention Purolator, Motorcraft or a Napa Proselect.
