STP Max Filtration Cabin Air Filter

Does anyone have any info or tried the new STP Max Filtration Cabin Air Filters? I saw them at Autozone and the specs on them seem promising. Just looking for some opinions on this.

im pretty sure they are Chinese manufactured, they also sell STP filters at PEP BOYS, they are the equivilent of those cheap chinese CAF 's they sell on EBAY probably get a better price there

The price point seems good for a carbon filter, especially from a parts store, and particularly for someone that either wants the "do-all" solution or is particularly concerned about anti-bacterial properties.

How quickly the carbon and any "anti-bacterial" action become ineffective is never mentioned.

although not this newest version, I had used an STP branded carbon, cabin air filter in my Cadillac CTS...compairing to the OEM I replaced there were about a third less pleats and of course the STP was gray with the carbon filtering added...I never noticed any better filtering of smells etcetera (I do realize this is my impression) but I can report it seemed to work as well as the OEM MicronAir/AC Delco it replaced...had I been able to find another (I recall mine was $9.99 when bought at AutoZone) when I believed it was time for replacement (18 months-ish) I would have bought that STP CAF again...

True, and I'be happy to obtain any data, but I prefer taking the advantages for a somewhat limited period over having them never. It'd hard to specify any lifetime anyway. I'd bet it depends on the conditions - where the car's driven, if the AC has an automatic air recirculation etc.. I'm running the Mann Precious Plus for some years.

never changed a cabin filter, gonna check soon + prolly just blow it out unless it looks REALLY bad!!! my windows are usually open unless ite extremely hot or cold + of course Pa humidity, + the top is usually down in my TT roadster!! i take Quercetin as a supplement, sometimes called natures Benadryl but only many benefits + no bad side effects like most drugs!!

Its just a cabin air filter, its used for trapping stuff, the ep auto ones are very well made.
