STOCK SIZE = 255-70-16
There are few choices in the stock size.
Looking to replace Goodyear Wrangler RT/S OWL (Outlined White Lettering).
I'm not interested in the OWL, should such tires be original to the truck.
I feel sidewall decorations are vulnerable.
245-75-16, a more populated size, is very close in dimension with differences below an inch.
The speedo difference, an increase, is also negligible.
I'll be looking for tires which are more highway than 'off-road' capable.
Knobby, loud tires are not what I want.
"Sturdy highway tire" is where I want to be.
A "softer / cushy" automobile ride is not what I want.
What tire brands and models have served any of you well in a pickup used mostly for street/highway driving?
TIA
