I ended up going to ebay and buying every 25 dollar bottle of 5w-20 VRP I could find (5 - 5 quart jugs) I bought the next years worth for me (5 jugs or 20k miles worth of driving.

edit: went and looked just now and all the ebay sellers have jacked prices now or removed their listings.

I think it depends on the location. I don't think it's out of stock in my area. I was able to add it to my shopping cart and choose a delivery method.

Honestly, Amazon and Costco are becoming the go-to places to buy oil, in the case of Costco it's a different label of Warren slop as to Kirkland vs Supertech. I already enjoy the slightly lower price of Costco gasoline.

I've got a stash that has me stretching my oil change intervals to the longer side of things, I thank the Deals thread sometime about a month ago for some to stock up on. If the price increases are finally here, maybe the floor has been reset. Ask the old-timers about the permanent price adjustment of antifreeze.

Who said that? Have you shopped online on Walmart.com?
Walmart has better and faster (same day) free delivery than Amazon. I have a friend and we were stocking up on oil he said that while he waited for an Amazon oil order, he placed and received two Walmart oil orders and he canceled the Amazon one.

I bought fifteen five-quart jugs of 5W30 Quaker State full synthetic and eight of 5W30 Quaker State High Mileage all at $20.97 when I first heard of the price increases so I'm good for at least five years for our cars. My wife and I are both early retired so one year oil changes with under 4k miles is doable. Math wise between three cars I overbought though we do long car vacation road trips so it may be two or three in one year from time to time. I plan to store them all in my basement which is around 60F. I'm glad I didn't procrastinate on this because I'd never want to be in the position of having to milk out oil change intervals due to availability. We still own a 99 Lexus RX300 we bought used in 2008 with 125k and it now has 415k and still runs perfect with zero oil burning and have used Quaker State since we bought it.

I’m a fan of Quaker State. I find it a solid value. I had a feeling in March an oil issue may happen so I was grabbing a Supertech 5w-30 and a ESP 0w-30 every week at Walmart with groceries. When I first heard of the oil problem would be real, Costco had their sale starting on the Kirkland. So I revisited a lot of posts here and Kirkland has a good reputation, like Supertech. Bought 16 jugs or 80 quarts for around $200. I service a lot of vehicles for both sides of my family as well as my own stuff. And I figured correct that none of them would prepare ahead. lol. I have enough for 3 yrs tops and it gets used. I have a buffer like some others in case someone needs a hand up.
