Stellantis dealers warn of brand degradation; company scolds them to keep dispute in house -Detroit Free Press

Gee wiz maybe I should try a BMW. When I had a Mercedes, going to the dealership reminded me a lot of being at Home Depot.

The other nice thing about Tesla is they will often send out a service tech to your home. A tech came to my home when the 12v battery (controlled door locks and more) in our '18 M3 Mid Range started to kick the bucket. A message came up on the tablet screen and I scheduled an appointment for the next day right there. The tech replaced the battery and inspected the car. No service charge, it was like $120 all in for the battery.
JK, when was this service call? Curious if you think it would be next day now. Would Tesla send someone out if you lived in Placerville and not 12 miles from Fremont? Once again your experience is likely different because of your location.

@$120 including the battery Tesla lost money, how long will they do this if they still are?

The service call was just over 5 years of ownership, so early 2023. Replacing the 12v battery is easy, except you gotta have the windows down and doors unlocked. Were they trying to make owners happy? Not enough service centers? Dunno.
Tesla does, or at least did, a lot of this. Certainly it's not for the money... Tesla is no longer a start up but is still learning the ropes, as well as continue to do things their way vs the traditional car business.

I can tell you that's the only time in 5+ years and 25K the car saw any service. I did rotate the tires once and add blue warsher fluid.
