ok heres a video of the front driver side wheel, I jacked up the passenger side and tried moving it, it did move but so did the steering wheel so I had my gf hold the wheel still and it didn't budge - then did the driver side and sure enough, thats the problem.

it moves side to side, but won't if you hold the top of the wheel and bottom of the wheel (12 and 6) only side to side.... and from the sound in the video thats what I hear when driving, and it pulls to the right pertty ________ good like the ________ shopping cart at food for less.

you will also notice that the piece (don't know what it's called) that goes from the strut to the wheel moves kinda loosely when the wheel rocks as well, I will assume this is not normal.

here u go, disect away.

you will notice the lug wrench on the ground, I thought from the sound that they were loose but that was not the case, tight as can be.

The ball joints (upper and lower) and tie-rod ends are totally shot, from what I can see and hear. There should not be any noticeable play in ball joints. You may also want to check the upper control arm bushings, strut rod bushings, stabilizer (anti-sway) bar bushings and end links for worn components (bushings/joints) and excessive play. Sorry, I really know only my Audi well and your car's suspension setup is very different, so my advice ends with saying this car isn't save to be driven and must be fixed properly.

PS: You are showing the driver side. Chances are the passenger side is in worse shape.

Maybe the passenger side was fixed tens of thousands of miles ago and they didn't do the driver side then!

The passenger side goes usually bad first. That's why I said both sides should be done at the same time.

sounds like it may take around 2 hours just to check everything, probably 10 hours to fix it all (for someone who has never done it), will I need a spring compressor for the struts, or would I not be removing/replacing anything they are connected to?

this is what I've compiled so far, couldn't find a couple things you mentioned, everything is x2 I assume

Lower Ball Joint (now they say no upper req, doesn't list any side specific parts so must be for either side) - DURALAST FA2084 LLT $24.99

Bushing, Strut Rod - ENERGY-SUSPENSION
Black 16.7106G $30.99

Stabilizer bar bushing - DURALAST
Front suspension FA7375 $9.99

Tie Rod End - DURALAST
Outer ES3332 LLT $21.99 driver side

Tie Rod End - DURALAST
Outer ES3332 LLT $21.99 Passenger (right side sitting inside vehicle)

total $177 + tax (15.57) = $193
