Steering column u-joint grease

First does one have to apply grease to the u-joint on the steering colm where it meets the rack?

If yes, which grease is suitable (I have a can of Mobil1 syn grease lying around?

Does it have a zerk fitting ?

I don't think so.. I put in some Mobil1 grease as it is said to be OK for steering ujoints.
