I've been thinking about going to Statesville haunted prison. I hear its $50 a ticket. To anyone who has been there is it worth it?

I went to it years ago. Unless it has been wildly improved, I don't think you'll get your money's worth.

It's not haunted, they fill an old prison with people in deathly costumes and try to scare you. It's the most popular place in the area due to its shear size, location, and creativity.

We have attractions for one of these in a PA prison on the counter of my job. JHZR2 can verify!
That said, I wonder how "scary" it can be, knowing it is special effects... unless you go in there WANTING to have a good time!

Something about "Haunted houses" (read: Bladeless chainsaws, safety-regulated explosions, fog machines, organ music, special effects..) that seems very 17-ish to me.
As to the "good" ones?? -- They all do it the same.......
EVERYWHERE is haunted Halloween season, and if you are like me, you find a religious objection to the pseudo-"holiday."
