Was away and hadn't started it for 7 days. Was hesitant but started. Drove for 5 mins and turned off engine. Wouldn't start. Lots of clicking. Jumped and drove for 30 and has been fine ever since.

Battery is less then 2 years old.

Any thoughts? Autozone for a load test?

Battery capacity is NOT determined by age.

Take out the battery and bring it to AZ or any auto parts to be load tested.
Or you can buy a load tester from Harbor Freight and do it yourself.

See if the battery have enough ampacity (amp) to start the engine.
They may just need to be recharged and the part store will recharge that automatically before testing it.

I used to use a solar powered trickle charger for a vw golf(rabbit)..amazing start ups

Totally agree. That's not an expected outcome in that circumstance. Unless the battery is old and not regularly charged up to close to 100% and maintained nearly to 100% a very high percentage of the time. If the battery never ever saw routine charging and vehicle not run all that often or for very short duration of miles... Then that hurts the battery that much more. And if battery was bought from AZ and it sat on the shelf not properly charged while sitting there a long while... Another huge strike against the battery as well. Battery sizes that don't move and likely just sit on the shelf without being given a very good maintenance charge put on them can be damaged from the word go by sulfation on the plates thus limiting CCA and capacity.

OP if there's a Federated Auto near you and your vehicle needs a group 24f battery... I proved the FA Platinum battery 24f size with a 3 yr free replacement warranty and made by East Penn and the price at my store was just $99.. way cheaper than AZ, AAP and O Reilly's.
