I need to start the Escalade after sitting for about 9 months. Should I pull a fuse like fuel pump or fuel injection so it cranks a bit and gets the oil flowing. Or just start it up?

Do a visual check under the hood, under the vehicle and all around. Check tire air pressure, check fluids. Check battery and charge/replace if needed. Crank and drive on!

No need to disconnect anything to be able to crank without starting. Just hold the gas pedal to the floor while turning the engine over. That tells the computer to turn off the fuel injectors cause the driver thinks the engine is flooded. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't think cars do that any more, it'll probably fire up and bounce off the rev limiter.

Check and make sure battery is charged. otherwise fire it up and let it idle for a couple mins.

At 9 months I'd do a visual inspection around, under vehicle, inspect for leaks, under the hood inspect for issues or animal nests, check air pressure in tires, check oil level, check other fluids, look in crank case to make sure no visual issues. Assuming all is okay, fire it up.

yeah I'd check for rats in the air filter and that oil is present.

But then hit the key. :D

If it runs then you can worry about tires, rusty brakes, etc.
