I tried my first Wix cartridge filter in my 09 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.3l. I had previously only used OE Hyundai filters. I used the same oil I've been using, MC blend 5-20. First start up the next morning it sounded like someone was rapping the valve covers with a hammer! Even hot starts hours later produced noticeable knocking on start up. Today I couldn't take the 3 days of start up knocking and I replaced the Wix with an OE Hyundai filter. I Let the car sit for 6 hours and it was back to it's usual quiet start ups. I did compare the two filters when I changed them out. I didn't really see any big differences between the filters. The only thing I noticed was that the one small o-ring that comes in the Hyundai kit was beefier then the small o-ring that came with the Wix filter. I believe that o-ring is what forms the seal in the drain back system. The smaller Wix o-ring probably let the oil drain out of the housing causing the start up knocking. Anyone here ever seen this issue before?

My 3.8l in the Azera has start up noise and momentary oil light with a purolator filter. Hyundai OE next to see if it solves it.

All I know is the Hyundai filters get the job done and are a sure bet to prevent the "tick" in most Hyundai's. I just recently changed the oil in my Sonata and used a K&N oil filter and it has been fine. I have had the same problem with WIX oil filters in my Hyundai and my old Nissan Altima, I have no idea why.

I don't know where to find specs on the Hyundai filter.

Oh, sorry I didn't realize this was a cartridge filter.

I see WIX also lists 57061 for your car. Its a good inch bigger though. I'm really not much help on this whole deal.

The 3.3L Engines built before 8/7/08 use the 5.2" tall x 2.87" OD filter. After 8/7/08 use the 4.2" tall x 2.56" OD filter (per FRAM application look-up page) likely due to a design change at Hyundai.

Had my one and only oil light with a Napa gold. Oil was clean, full, 3200 into a pyb 5w30 dino OC. Just driving along. on it went. Ironically put a Fram in, resolved the issue. ocod youtube teen-agers beware..
