At Wal-Mart notice the mentioned , priced at $23 and the package said to try me. Turn the plastic handle while the metal ratchet shaft remains stationary.

Looks like many positive reviews on AMAZON.

Also noticed an extendable handle ratchet with a locking flex head which was interesting. At first I thought the locking pin was a sloppy drift pin. Boy was I wrong.

both ratchets were made in Taiwan.

I received a Kobalt version of this for Christmas a couple years ago and while I liked it, it did not hold up. It broke on me while I was reattaching the blower motor housing in my A/C unit. I will be interested to find out how this one hold up.

Lowes sponsored NASCAR Champion Jimmie Johnson steered you wrong?? lol
Just think how much money they could put into better product if they stopped spending millions and millions on racing.

They were both also sold under the Husky brand and AFAIK the extendable still is.
They both a place in the box, the rotator is of limited use but when you really need it its well worth the money.

Quality seems okay, both should last a long time given their usage.

from the AMAZON reviews

"I reluctantly purchased the Kobalt version of this ratchet months ago not realizing that other tool makers also made it. (I really dislike Kobalt and lowe's in general)....The Kobalt was okay and the rotator feature is awesome. I wanted to buy another-but this time a different brand and Stanley was the brand I wanted this time. I didn't buy it on amazon-but their price and shipping isn't bad.The Stanley is a far better tool. It feels sturdier, has quick release, finer ratchet and the mechanism just overall works better. The only feature that the Kobalt has over the stanley is the telescopic handle"

I have the Stanley rotator head type ratchet for yeas, and love it. Not a lot of torque (when rotating) but enough to go into some seriously tight space to get the nut/bolt going w/o too much fuss.

I have both and to be frank with you, I am not thrilled with either of them. They just don't feel right. I believe they are not well balanced and are too top heavy. When I purchased them, I thought I would really like them.
