Alright, so here it goes. This is on a 1970 Suzuki Cutlass F50 Scooter.

I picked it up at 144 miles. cleaned the tank, added a fuel filter, cleaned the carb, changed the transmission fluid, tightened all nuts and bolts, and use MMO in the gas. about 1-2OZ per gal at every fill up. adjusted the oil delivery for a drop extra.

Running GREAT till a couple days ago @ 322 miles it would sometimes just stall out at idle. It would not fire back up choke or no choke. not getting gas so take out spark plug its dry, put gas on the tip of that and re-install, fires right up and runs well..

same thing when its warm, if you turn it off with the key, chances are it will not start back up for about 10-15 mins, unless you put a drip of gas on the spark plug.

Im thinking it carb related again, but just wanted to run it past the pros before i clean it again.
The carb runs well at any speed just not idle, plug looks perfect, 125+PSI comp, tightened all nuts and bolts again, just to make sure, runs 33MPH+ down the road and powers up hills with Tq to spare. Thanks!

Can't remember what the carb looked like on the one I "flipped" a couple years ago. You might tear the carb down again to see if it has both a high idle and low idle jet like a 50CC Honda engine. The low idle jet may be clogged. If it does have a low idle jet, it may need a micro drill bit to get it cleared out.

To get a more knowledgeable audience, try posting on the power sports link (just below the mower link).

Just to update. i removed the carb and installed a freshly cleaned one from the parts scoot, and same issue. Tank is clean. Petcock is clean, fuel does pump out of the line when you kick start it, idle is spot on, but it does not restart when hot unless you take out the plug and put a drop a gas on it, and re install.. Starts first or 2nd kick in the morning or after its been sitting a few mins. It no longer stalls at idle.. Whats goning on here! lol. thx!

still a carb issue.

go find a manual and rebuild kit and start from scratch (rebuild the thing).

Q.

How is the spark when hot? Sometimes a bad condenser works when cold and quits when warm.
Otherwise, check any potential reed valves, can be a b-tch if they dont work as they should, not sure you have one on that moped though
