Mothers car all short trips for 10 months.
Dunno miles on filter for sure. I think I left it on longer than it’s meant to be in use. She drove more than I anticipated. It held up fine though but looks pretty loaded up on the dirty side. Oil was super tech Advaced 0w20. Another st filter and st HM full synthetic 5w30 were used this time.
The felt end caps were bonded well. I was able to pull them off with pliers which I like cuz there’s no need to cut the media to get them off. I think most likely the ADBV poppet thingy seals better on the felt than the metal end cap.

Based on light seen around bypass piece sealing area on the MP7317 I c&p not long ago, you may have a point. WCW on yt found the same and also on the Champ made Fram Endurance. Fwiw, I'm considering doing a similar light test on an FE7317. I like metal endcaps but have questions about the seal with the non-attached metal to metal bypass piece.

So, topic filter did have a separate poppet bypass on dome end, just not shown? When first intro'd, this ST ecore likely would have used a combo valve. No bueno, imo.

Filter looks fine. Thanks for c&p.

Yes it did have the separate poppet bypass.
I didn’t realize I left it out of pics.
