I love using house brand Syns. NEVER an issue. I've used ST, AAP and right now I have a stash of NAPA 0w20 and 5w20! So I have no idea why some cannot find it in these grades. Just ask an employee, they'll get it for you. At $3.49/qt its a great deal.

I just checked under a few oil bottles. QS Defy, Rottela T, Napa SYN and Mobil Super. All have the G on the bottom. What does the G represent? I have googled it and found nothing.

I hate to break it to anyone, but today I did a (gasp) horrible thing. I bought a jug of AA 5w20 5.1 qt jug with a PROMOTIVE filter for like $11.12 out the door. I could have a china rip off DW filter. I bought the last 7 Promotive 14610 filters they had for like 79cents.

Smoothpapa, the PROMOTIVE FILTERS here were in the back room "clearance shelf". Promotive filters I hear on this SITE are being phased out. 79Cents is hard to beat. I will take $11.12 for WPP/WNE oil made for ADVANCE AUTO also any day. May go back tomorrow as there was one 5.1 jug left, and I may get a DW 4459 filter and use that for later oil change. I do still have like 11 TOTAL GRIP Advance Auto Parts filters in my huge stash.

If I remember I will cut one open with my dremel tool. I didnt know they still had them on the shelves with puro filters!

I have one (a ProMotive that is) at home for a subaru 2.5 that I am planning on cutting open just as soon as I get back from a business trip.
