At low speeds my truck makes a squeaky noise. It comes from the rear end and when the truck is in first or reverse. When I push in the clutch pedal and engage the clutch and coast in neutral, the noise disappears. When I release the clutch and get back in gear, the noise appears again. This only happens at low speeds below 10 MPH. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Drive train noise can seem to come from one place when it is actually another as the noise can run down the drive shaft, etc. Could be U-joints that squeak under load, leaf springs that arc and touch differently under load, etc.

Is it rythmic? It could be U joint, being that it is load dependent.
But any suspension component could be squeaky at the bushings.
