Need a new popupblocker and spyware program. Is this product any good? Any other suggestions?

Apparently, Spyware Eliminator is the best rated program for 2005 by most PC mags/online rating services. I've been using Webroot Spysweeper and it's been awesome. I've found Spybot and Adware (the 2 best freewares) to be useless.

I would also like suggestions on a pop-up blocker as Explorers built in one sucks. All I want is a program that blocks pop-ups; not some google toolbar crap.

Same with the anti virus etc. program/ Let me pay .let it work .I just don't want to jack around constantly doing this or that.

If you need antivirus software as well, PC cillin seems to be the top rated program today. I've had Norton; it was the biggest piece of **** program I've ever used. I bought Macafee and couldn't be happier.

Are you running Foxfire? It's not perfect but better than IE.

Use Firefox, then add-in the latest "Adblock" Extension. I found that it works better than most commercial programs for blocking pop-ups...

Panicware has a small download as a pop-up stopper. One of the best available and it is free:

For spyware, I use the MS Beta and no problems to date.

Even with a pop-up blocker, do you guys still get a few every now and again? I do with every program I've tried. Thinkin about just turning it on high and using ctrl to open any window I need to cause that way it blocks EVERYTHING. I know you can get adware/spyware from pop-up ads; do you get it simply from the pop up opening or from you clicing on the ad (which I'd never do!)?

Beware, some spyware removing programs are actually spyware themselves. I use Spybot(best program I've used, actually blocks spyware, works with Firefox) and Ad-aware(a little more aggresive, doesn't block anything without $, no Firefox)

For AV I use Clam-win.
