Spark plug question

What is the difference between Champion made RJ19LM, J19LM, J19LM EZ START?
Is the EZ START worth twice the price of non ez-start? ($4 vs $2).
Does it last longer?

So the plugs with R, have built in resistor to suppress the RFI (radio frequency interference), generated when the spark plug fires. I just googled that, thanks for info.

Some people claim that the non-R plugs generate 'better' spark, others say that its the same.

Any input on the EZ Start part?

My take is that the resistor plugs if new or at least in perfect condition, will produce the same spark, but like anything with more parts, there is more chance of something going wrong in time. The ez start plugs I believe are platinum electrodes.

I've used both (RJ19LM) and EZ-start, no difference whatsoever on a properly functioning (carb working fine, timing correct) B&S engine.

The longest lasting plug I've had in my Duraforce 2-stroke Lawn-Boy push mower is a Champion EZ-Start plug. It came new with an NGK plug that didn't last 2 seasons. The Champion is still going strong on the 3rd season.

The Easy Start plug is a fine wire plug,and now they have them using platinum and have an auxiliary surface gap so they cant foul out.Great plugs.

Given the same electrods, the R plug will last longer because it limits the current flow but, not the voltage. The electrods last longer. Ed
