Can’t figure this one out. Some days wjen I turn on my 2019 Sony Bravia tv and go to watch something on Roku I either have no sound or crackling, static like noise. About fed up with it already. Is it a tv or roku issue?

Likely the Roku. See above -restart it.
I’ve been having to restart it like every day to have sound.

it also says to unplug and plug it back in to reset it... and there is a whole chart of things to try.. has it always done it or just started?
The ROKU streaming sticks can get unstable when older, especially in hot environments. The ROKU box form factor units are faster and seldom have any issues, especially if hardwired instead of using a WiFi connection.
I’m not using a forestick, a roku 4k unit
It’s been doing this for past two months honestly.
I’m assuming it’s a separate unit with an HDMI cable
I’m wondering if you just try unplugging all the cables and plugging them in again might help
Just in case there’s something wrong with the plug or where the cable meets the plug

Contact Roku and have them send you a new one or buy one. Good luck
