With wife watching so much tv I needed a new one in shortest time yet 3 years. My LG 4k entry level WebOS got buggy and colors got off. I decided to take a chance on Sony. Best picture yet. Hopefully I didn't make a mistake as lots of reviews state 4 years or less.

I remember back in the day, Sony tv's were considered the best (Sony Trinitron), with RCA coming in second.

So far Google TV is better than the competition. I did hook up Roku Premiere and while it looks good there is no support for Dolby Vision. I don't think I will need my Roku for awhile. Dolby Vision is great. OTA is great and when or if New Orleans ever go to 3.0 I will be set.

My first bigger TV was a 35" Trinitron, it had an excellent picture but I'm guessing it weighed a couple hundred pounds.

Op I think Sony still makes one of the better TV's, hope you get many years out of it.

After a week of fooling around with settings and apps gthis tv seems perfect for our viewing habits. Now I have to decide on extended warranty as Sony is 99.00 for 4 years or Bestbuy is 140 for 5 years with Bestbuy will come to my house which Sony won't. No local Sony shops so I would have to mail tv to get repair. Other choice is don't do anything and just enjoy it and hope it lasts.
