Hello. I cleaned out the carb on my 6.75 horse tecumseh mower because it was surging. I could see the throttle opening and closing. Now after everything is back together it won't throttle up. I can keep it running if I adjust the idle screw but it is too slow. I have been fidddling with the linkage for a few hours but there is no improvement. If I hold the throttle open manually it runs great but when I let it off it either goes wide open and doesn't come back down or it settles back to the way it was before I touched the throttle. Could the mechanism inside the block be broken or is it more likely that I still have the linkage wrong? Any help would be great.
