ok, so i've been reading around, and i've got a few questions (i'm new to BITOG).

first of all, what is GC gold and GC green? what is the difference?

second of all, why do people keep saying GC is made by elves?

and thirdly, has it yet been confirmed if GC is a group 4 oil?

never mind, i just read the FAQ

only thing i'm still wondering is who the **** are the "elves"?

so does anyone here know someone with a BMW M44 engine running the GC?

i have a 96' 318 vert. currently running Mobil1 10w30. have a 5L jug of Liqui-Moly 5w40 lined up for my next oil change.

but i'm thinking about GC... so i wanna know if anyone else is running it in an E36 4-banger... or opinions from the experts.

The M1 10W30 would have been WAY better for winter.
And the L-M 5W40 would have been better for the summer.
imho.

Got GC in the E39, it's happy.

I see. So you guys are runnin GC in BMW's and find it to be good? That's cool. I'd love to see someone with an M44 running it. We shall see.

I would like to see a comparison spec sheet on GC vs M1 10w30. Anyone know where I can find that?

And is GC not good for year-round? I prefer to run the same oil year-round.

In SW Michigan, Near Holland and South Haven, I'm not too sure who carries the Castrol auf Deutchland. Why woudn't a BP station carry it? Castrol is one of their main products...
