So what does Peak use in their yellow fluid?

It's certainly not 2-EHA and sodium neodecanate, i'm having a feeling it's close to Toyota Red. Anyone else know what Peak uses? Is it a sebacate or a different OA?

Not only no silicates, but no phosphates either - so that clearly differentiates it from the Japanese preferred formulae. Sounds closer to a modified DEXCOOL-like formula to me - maybe sodium benzoate instead of potassium 2-hexadeconoate as the OAT. If so, you could also think of Peak Long-Life as G-05 without the reduced levels of hybridizing silicates. Intent-wise, this coolant product fits neatly in the center of a triangle whose points are occupied by DEX-COOL, G-05, and the Japanese formulae, so the question in my mind is whether Peak's middle-of-the-road approach makes it better than, equal to, or almost as good as any of, some of, or one of the others.

Sodium Tetraborate (1303-96-4) and Sodium Benzoate (532-32-1) as far as I know. It is very close to G 05 except peak global extended contains no silicates whereas G 05 does to help with cavitation.

I feel that G 05 is one of the best if not the best formulation of coolant out there right now; it has a proven track record with Mercedes which has been using G 05 for years.

Edit: looks liek Ray beat me to it
