I have a twin cylinder kawasaki water cooled engine, i can run it about 30 min then she dies. I would think its a coil break down, but it has twin coils so I assume it would run on one cylinder. After she dies I can restart using choke, but for an unreal amount of time she wants to run on choke. So Im convinced its a fuel issue or the fuel system is sucking air? I also thought the shut off solinoild possibly wasnt working, so I cut off the "tit", still didnt help, did notice a big crack in the fuel line near the pump, but it wasnt wet w fuel. So could that crack be allowing it to suck air?

This is what im thinking, but had 2 guys say if that was the problem, then gas would be leaking? But Im thinking it could be causing air to get sucked in rather than fuel?

What year is this? Carbs or fuel injection?

Sounds like a fuel starvation problem.
There may be a problem that your fuel tank is not venting.

Partially clogged fuel filter or (if you don't have one)... some have a fine mesh screen at the tank end inside the fuel hose where it connects to the tank.

If it's none of these then you'll probably need to clean the carbs. If you have an "alligatored" fuel line then there's a possibility that little particles of rubber are making their way into your carbs and clogging it up. We've seen a lot of this - pretty common.

hahahahaha - you got me before I had a chance to change my post. I had "bikes" stuck in my head... as I was just hanging out on the motorcycle forum. DOH !

OK - many mowers - especially the more expensive ones (e.g. Kawasaki motor) will have a screen at the end of the fuel hose where it connects to the tank. Sometimes, but rarely, there's a screen inside the hose where it connects to the fuel pump or to the carb. Also look for a fuel filter. They sometimes put them in the darndest places.

That's where I would check - first. Then replace the fuel lines.

Oh I get it, youre going to make me wait and humble myself to your answer, and all mighty knowledge? At least I can humble myself to say I dont know it all! You should try it sometime!

What ever you do, don't forget the basics. Change the spark plugs. I've had a few lawn equipment engines fail in odd ways and it was the plug. Yet, I thought it was fuel and rebuilt the carb first. A Kawasaki water pump had a similar issue. Spark plug fixed it, after I cleaned the carb 3 times.

Update: I replaced the fuel line and now it wont fill the fuel filter?? Im thinking its the fuel pump, and unfortunately its a mechanical pump $$, not a vaccume pump. Sorry I didnt mention the machiene, its a 98 JD 345. Any thoughts?
EDIT: I have new plugs and fuel filter.

there is one, idk if it works, will try a diff cap, thanks. I did force air thru the tank and put fuel into filter, still didnt run.

I found a broken carb gasket, thus sucking air. and i chechked fuel punp, it shoots fuel 3 feet, so the carb gasket must be the issue, also explains how i bought the mower so cheap, I gave $950 for it in feb
