The economy and my work has taken such a hit I was having a hard time making 2 huge car payments (F250 and Bronco) so I bailed on the one I had a bit of positive equity on for something totally dull and totally boring. Introducing my newest appliance. 2026 Sentra (MR20DD and a cvt) although it is quite the nice little car that was cheap although being well optioned I miss having something with a bit of personality (although I do still have my Xterra and F250) being 12k less than a base model corolla and a supposedly much improved cvt helped sell me. Dramatically cheaper to drive per week than an f250 too oddly
Gonna skip the amsoil on this one, as it is an appliance not a car.

Nothing wrong with a mainstream economy car! Are the seats OK? I recently had a rental Altima that was pure torture. In terms of drivetrain, these are honestly fine to drive. Sure, more power is always nice, but the CVT is well tuned by now.

I haven't done any long extended trips with it but its been fine running around town all day. The joke is with all the vehicles I've had in my life this one will be one of the ones that stays and will eventually just be tucked away at the farm because it did its job without issue even if it was very boring. But I mean, if it gets me thru some less than ideal times, I doubt ford is gonna quit building v8 mustangs and broncos anytime soon as they still sell a ton of both. Also, on a random note, I think the new z is a killer car till you get to the price, couldn't find one for less than 60k

If I was spending $60K on a car it would be a Model 3/Y Performance! But yeah, despite not being a Nissan fan and some CVT issues, the Sentra looks more expensive than it is and I hope you get a great life out of it :)

and I personally will never buy an ev of any sort. Nissan's have been good to me, poor mans toyota (and fords) have done great for me in life

Good luck. Do the Mobil 1 you have or even Valvoline Restore and Protect, head off any gummed rings before they start. Do the CVT fluid changes early and rock on. We'd all like certain things but reality is there. There was a reason I bought a Sonata in '07 versus a Camry (about $8-10k difference). That lasted 13 years and 220k with minimal costs. The used 6MT base model Accord sedan that gets 35mpg regularly gets me 99% of the places I need except snow deeper than about 8". Goes almost 600 miles on a highway cruise smoothly and quietly. It was cheaper than a same year Camry or Mazda 6.

I didn't mind the Sentra either but the seats were tight for me but otherwise a decent ride...

Congrats! Nice ride...I was going to say little, but it really isn't. The seats should be comfortable. Change out the CVT fluid/external filter @ 30K. (I think you may be surprised at what comes out...at least I was on our 2017 Rogue Sport @ 29k.) I hope all the new displays/screens work as intended for a very long time. Many safe and carefree miles!
