So are we going to have an "official" XenForo issue/complaint area?

And that is exactly what BITOG did. I received that email.

Granted, if your email address on file with BITOG was invalid/outdated, resulting in you not getting that email, then BITOG can't do much about it. :)

I did not receive any email before the switch over ... and my email was correct because that's what I used to do a password reset. Technology ... :rolleyes:

I could not log in the old way or with facial shortcuts … but figured out a way …
who dat ? My 2020 oil jug just came back ?

My online status is showing next to my name, even though I unchecked "Show your online status" in Settings.

EDIT: Nevermind. I think the status is only visible to me, and not to others.

There were some glitches, no doubt. Some people could not regain access post migration, even though they followed the instructions.

I didn't get an email either, and I checked my spam folder. Like you, I did a password reset and got back on that way.

Also, I used to be able to log on simply as "slo town". Now I have to do it as "SLO_Town".

Thanks to the people who performed this migration. I was a career long engineer on massive, mission critical, mainframe computers. Migrations are always a thankless job.

The staff added a link at the top of every page that said "Read this..." about the move.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I "assumed" my regular email address was the one I used to sign up, read the thing about migration, and kept on with my life. Luckily it was my "spam drop" at a defunct ISP that Spectrum eventually abosorbed, and forwarded.

I did not get any emails... might be an ISP/spam filter thing, my fault. But if the posting at the top mentioned we have already emailed you about this I'd have double checked my settings.

When I worked in TV we ran a crawl on the analog antenna feed only mentioning we were going digital and if you see this crawl, you won't be seeing us next week.

Maybe I’ve overlooked it, but how can we add an avatar? Also, is there a way to turn signatures on for mobile viewing?

I’ve noticed that the page buttons for the threads are at the bottom. Any chance of including them at the top as well?

Now instead of the quality of the post determining the quality of the poster, we have this new and meaningless way for some to determine "quality".
If people judge a comment based on the person's "reaction" score, they're foolish. I judge comments on the content, accuracy, etc and think most here do as well. Besides, someone's score isn't readily visible. You have to effectively "ask" for it or look for it. It would be a different story if it were under the username or something and always right there. In fact, some forums have theirs set up this way.

I've also been to plenty of forums where there are fanboys of certain members, reacting to darn near every post the person makes. They end up thinking they're some sort of "god" too, typically with attitudes, and so on. I don't play those childish games though.

One thing I just noticed is that in "Your content" in your profile, it shows posts that you've done, but it won't show threads that you've started. That was a nice feature IMO on the old BITOG software when you wanted to go find some info that was asked and talked about before.

Find Threads => Your Threads

Got it ... it's not in your profile but at the top left area of the page. Thanks!
