With this new software I do not see the listing of the 12 most recent new threads on the left like I use to.

It's on the right side now (on desktop)

Click "Reply" on each post that you want to quote. I have seen XF sites that include a "multi-quote" button though. Don't know if they simply didn't enable this or if it's an add-on option.

Otherwise, nesting multiple posts is rarely necessary and just adds clutter, IMO...

True on the multi-quoting sometimes ... but other times it might be helpful in the discussion. Thanks for the 'hit reply on all quotes' hint.

Speaking of PMs ... I noticed that the cut-over to the new software clobbered a lot of the recent PMs in my account.

Seems the cut-over was what some of the board was a week or two ago ... ??

Does look like certain aspects were. My username was changed to "Hall" by wwilson a few days ago but it reverted back to this one.

You can't have the same email associated with two user accounts.

And I see no way to do that manually easily if you wanted to - ie, multiple quotes.

Couldn't reset my password for my username "tigeo" - maybe email wasn't correct? I've used the correct email associated with the account before. I set this one up so I could come on - can I get my TiGeo account back or at least just transfer over my posts/history?

I guess I can be added to the list of folks who have suddenly found themselves significantly younger. It has me listed at 9...turning 10 in a few months LOL.

I tried to PM wwilson and it would find his name in the recipients box, but when I click send it says the recipient cannot be found .

I've administered forums before so I completely understand the need to squash bugs. Keep up the good work Admin team. I have no doubt the new software will be worth the effort when it is completely migrated.

Actually, I still can't message/PM you. There is no "Start Conversation" button under your name, like there is under others.

Is your ability to accept PMs from all members turned on in your Privacy settings?
