I'm looking for snowmobile grease that's good and cheap. I have seen many store bands that are cheap but they never show the working temp on them. If you get into the $8 or more range they have it listed. If I have to pay $8 or more I'll just buy the OEM. I looked at Walmart's Super Tech Lithium grease which is cheap and it looks to be the same compound as the Arctic cat OEM grease but I can not find any resource that will tell me that it's good to -10, -20 etc... I tried TSC, and most of our chain auto parts stores and the grease in the $3-4 range will not list the working temp. I'm also worried about buying an incompatible grease and really pay for it by trying to save a buck.
Super Tech info- Lithium Grease is formulated using only premium base oils and lithium 12 hydroxystearic.
Arctic cat OEM info- Increases cold-temp bearing, gear and pivot point performance
Quality Lithium 12-Hydroxy Stearate formula
If there is a better one for snowmobiles like a marine grade and it's cheap please let me know. I have 3 snowmobiles and 2 ATV's that I will use it on and I do grease often. I live near Rochester, NY if your suggestion a store/chain/brand.
Thanks.
