Smoother, quieter after oil change

I almost always notice that any engine is smoother just after an oil change.
Don't really know why, but it seems typical and on a car that you use regularly, it's pretty easy to detect.

It's always quieter for me too, perhaps because the sump is full after the oil change instead of 1/2 - 1 qt down and the oil isn't thinned from fuel and shearing

It was noticable on my dads Camaro...the difference was night and day. Either he rarely changed the oil or it was always low idk. A few years back... Castrol had an oil called "Start Up" after using it I noticed the engine ran so much smoother than any other oil I've ever used.

I noticed the difference on the daughter's Corolla after an 11k OCI. Two weeks later, the car was much quieter when she visited. Noticeably quiet, like after a successful valve adjustment quiet. So the silver jug of Valvoline 5w30 synthetic starts out thick and shears over time. No hard data just an old motor head's deaf ears

I think it depends on the oil. On my Hyundai 2.4 I always used Hyundai filters and any 5w20 that was on sale. I never noticed any difference...then one morning driving to work I thought ,gee the engine seems guieter today. It was then I remembered that I had done an oil change the night before and used Quaker State Conventional. Yes I guess I'm that forgetful. I have no doubt that Quaker State Conventional run quiet in that engine. Did it stay quieter? Who knows.
