You have had asthma and allergies since you were a child and yet you started smoking. Care to elaborate on what caused you to start smoking when you knew you had these conditions? I'm not here to judge, I'm just curious of the reasoning.

Did you read how much i smoke?

I never smoked heavy and at that time smoking was not taboo, i remember smoking in the hospital and they supplied the ash tray!

Although you say you are non judgmental the simple fact you are looking for an answer pointing out i had asthma since i was a child tells me you think i must have been subjected to peer pressure, trying to look cool or some such thing, i was not.
Truth is i never had an asthma attack during or after smoking a cigarette. I take no offense at the question its fair enough but your asking the wrong question!

The correct question IMHO is why were the tobacco companies allowed to promote these things the way they did even when the bad effects were known?
Why did the hundreds of billions in big tobacco settlement money not go to finding a cure or help smokers quit but instead went into the general fund and supplemented illegal alien health care programs and welfare?

Smoking was accepted when i started, doctors were even on TV commercials pushing the brand they smoked.Insurance companies didn't ask the "do you smoke question" back then it was accepted you did.
I have no intention of stopping the few smokes i have every day and the fact my lungs are 98+ percent is confirming to me that anything in moderation is okay.

Do you eat red meat, fast food, drink alcohol, eat anything with sugar, sit in front of an open fire place or eat BBQ foods?
Why did you start when you see all the fat people, heart attack victims and alcohol related deaths on the road? IMHO thats a fair question aslo.

See where this road goes? I don't want to sound pro smoker in this thread, i am not!
I do however get a bad case of the arse when people treat smokers as villains when in fact they are a victim of companies that once the effects of smoking became known were no longer an industry but criminals.
