These guns were banned back in 2016 from any and all Appleseed events, because of run away full auto fire. Apparently S&W has recognized it to be enough of an issue to finally do something about it.

Mine has doubled occasionally since new, it's a pretty early one, 4/08 gift. I thought it was a feature!

Gauge is order so I'm curious if it fixes it.

I received my tool from S&W Yesterday, if you have a depth gauge you could check it against this.

I have a brand new one that I haven't even fired yet. I heard about this last week and I was going to ask my LGS about it, but I guess I'll just order that tool so I can check it myself.
