I had a Rotella T4 15w40 jug that had a cracked cap, It's been in climate controlled enviroment and wondering if I can use it for the next oci, its been sitting like that for 5 months.

Would it still be ok if in your car for 5 months?
I'd have to say yes.. and oil doesnt attract water (like brake fluid does) so I'd 100% use it.

Use it!!! Or send it to me. I even buy dented filters to run on my fleet. No worries. Don't over think!!! Oil lifespan on the shelf today is a min of 5 years.
