Slight brake grind

Hi guys,

During parking lot speeds when I turn my wheel I hear this very faint brake grind front the driver side wheel.

At first I thought it was the power steering making the usual noise when changing directions but I have isolated it to making noise when the wheel is turned and the noise depends on movement.

The brakes also have a very light shudder at certain speeds when applied with medium to hard force.

Does this signify that the rotor is slightly warped?

Can you feel it in the brake pedal?

My Camry has a bad ABS sensor, when at parking lot speeds making a left turn and braking, the ABS activates for a second and you can hear it and feel it in the pedal.

Lift your car, rock the wheel back and forth to check the wheel bearing.

Check slide pins.

Worked on a customers car a few years back. Sounded like metal on metal at slow speeds and slight turns while braking. Everything was in great shape but the slide pins were sticky and wouldnt move freely. Regreased and and fixed.

I concur, check the brake caliper. Also try to compare how hot the calipers/rotors become after driving. The suspect should be warmer.

I did a DIY brake rotor change on the car.
Though I did not clean the surface before adding new rotors and did not re-grease the slide pins (first time doing brakes).

After that the brakes were really rough so I took everything off and did it properly (wire brush the surface, re-greased the slide pins).

So currently everything is moving freely and is greased quite well.
However the rotor in question isn't wearing as fast as the other side.

Could I have warped the rotor slightly by not cleaning the hub surface before installing it?

I will check for wheel bearing but I believe it's fine as I checked not all that long ago
