One of many wrecks he was involved in during his bike days of almost 20 years, rain or shine.
Your Dad is was very lucky man for those 20 years....For the most part the bulk of motorcycle crashes down here end up in death...There is usually one death per week down here involving motorcycles...A number of them were decapitated.
Yeah, he finally gave it up. He was involved in some pretty crazy wrecks over those years. Once almost run over by a Caddy, another time he was dragged several hundred yards due to his boot being stuck in the engine guards after he fell, etc. He always walked away. Also, he always took the time to put on the proper gear. Funny thing was, after every wreck, he always put on more equipment. I used to laugh at him sometimes because he looked more like he was going to war than riding.
