Someone better tell that to Pennzoil division, then. According to Pennzoil's own material safety data sheets, ALL Pennzoil motor oil formulations are listed as having an indefinite shelf life at ambient temperatures no hotter than can be tolerated by mammalian life (people, dogs, cows, skunks, pigs, shoot - even Americans, etc.). In other words, if the bottles are sealed against contaminants, the contents are good until the next nuclear war (after which, it won't really matter anymore, will it?).
