When I first got the Lexus back in '08, I was replacing the fog lamp bulbs. Not knowing (at the time) how to remove the lamp assemblies, I removed the under cover/liners to get to the bulb sockets.
Then I pulled the corner cover, this fell out:
I thought no problem, look for the one on the passenger side. There isn't one there.
There's evidence that it was clipped/fastened at one time. Every few years, I look through Lexus' online parts catalog diagrams and I can't find this part (Toyota parts diagrams and lists aren't straight forward). I looked for a drain location (there's a drain trough on the part) but nothing.
When ever I have the engine compartment stripped I look for the place where this may have come from. It's been decades and I still haven't been able to find where this goes. There are no identifying part numbers, etc.
"It came from Uranus."
