Is there any cleaner/degreaser that’s better or equal to SG Pro HD (kind to aluminum and more eco friendly)? Looking for my go to in my new ultrasonic cleaner, primarily for corrosion/rust. Started using this thing today on bunch of old tools at the bay home that were rusted up and it’s very impressive. At $15 a jug wondering if there’s anything else I could be using and SG non pro hd wrecks aluminum.

Reg Simple green is better for rust and carbon on steel, let it soak overnight before tanking it.
But it's not good for aluminum. I want something universal so I can toss car parts, boat parts, anything in there.
Then just use the Pro HD, there is no jack of all trades with these cleaners, I use 3 tanks with different cleaners. You can soak steel parts in a seperate container with regular SG, rinse with water then put it in the tank with Pro HD.
I use Simple Green Aircraft on aluminum. It is a clear fluid, not green, which also helps with staining on adjacent items. It's all I use now.

I recently bought some too. $21/gallon is more than some other cleaners, but it's still cheap. Bought it "just because". My go-to cleaner previously was SG Pro, or the regular SG formula. I think the aluminum corrosion risks are relatively low, unless you are long soaking raw aluminum, without a finish (anodize or paint)
For the record, SG quantifies "prolonged" as > 10 minutes.
I've lived dangerously and used the regular formula on some underbody heat shields with baked-on oil, and it was quite effective.

This is the best stuff I have found for the ultrasonic cleaner. Very effective and a little goes a long way. I hardly use simple green anymore. Eco friendly and a nice citrus smell.
