When I changed out the pads/rotors on my Rav4, I used Sil-glyde on the pins and despite the instructions to the contrary, put a little on the back of the Wagner Thermo-quiet pads. Holy [censored], did they squeak. Pulled the pad and coated the backs and dog ears with Sil-glyde. That quieted things down.
Plenty of people have reported issues with the thermo quiet and squeaking under many circumstances, they sometimes squeak no matter what you do, probably because of the non oem style backing plate/shim
Some ThermoQuiet applications use a glued-on black shim instead of the IMI design - in that case, a little Sil-Glyde or silicone-based brake lube can't hurt.
