From what I read the leaking can be common.. maintenance probably is a big key. Does shift perfect though. Not sure on the gears haven't decoded it yet. It has plenty of power really have to push it up the hills. You can tell when the tanks are filling up! I've drove alot of shuttle buses and grew up around Class C's so that's what I'm comfortable with.
The only thing I really don't like is technically not supposed to pull anything above 2k.. pulling a car is out of the question for long trips. Probably still will if we're close and staying more than 3 days.
my buddy has a '12 2500 Chevy extended cab long bed with the 6.0, we towed a 7600 lb camper from Louisiana to Pennsylvania in April, worst mpg was 7.3, best was 9.8, on the way home, without the camper, we averaged 16 mpg.
