good morning!!!
OK, I ask too many questions! thanks for all your help on all topics!
from the LITTLE I have read, i think that SOME of the engine oil goes through a second filter, which can remove fine particles. I don't know how worried I am about that. Second a preluber ensures that the cold engine will have oil pressure right away. I am a mechanical dummy, but have access to 2 great mechanics.
1. will the bypass filter REALLY help? can i approximate that with Mobil 1 oil and filter every 2000 miles?
2. will the preluber help? my garage is heated to at least 40 degrees all winter, and i use Mobil 1 oil only/
sorry for the dumb questions, i mean no offense. the idea of better filtration is intriguing! my friend had a dodge truck, cummins diesel. he is a gifted mechanic, changes oil very often. he got rid of the truck, when it rusted in half, with 340,000 miles.
best,
bob
and thanks!!!!
