ship horn sound when turning

Hey Guys,

From time to time my Cayenne S will make ship horn sound when I turn slow left. ( turn and drive - there is no noise when just turning )

Any ideas

The question is - does it make the noise as you turn the steering wheel, or as the wheels begin turning?

Well its when I take corner from stop 90 degree from it starts almost instantly

Full time AWD? Could be lots of stuff. Transfer case, differential, CV joints...

Does it do it when you back up turning left also? Cold? Hot? Always?

Hot last time, it is awd
Not always once in a blue moon

Never heard it in reverse

Just specific sound

I wonder if a clutch meant to properly distribute AWD is grabbing and moaning when it shouldn't be.

Try greasing the U-Joint.

where is the u joint?

I'd say its probably somewhere in the awd drivetrain but who knows where exactly?

maybe a porche specialist might know from previous problems he's fixed?
