I have a couple of diesel vehicles (Ford 7.3l, VW 2l, Cat 15l all three are turbo'd) and a couple of Volvo gassers (turbo'd V70XC and 960) which I run 5-40W Rotella T synthetic diesel oil in and I am more than pleased with the performance of the oil in all of these vehicles.
Two weeks ago I just bought an absolutely mint 1986 Suzuki Samurai (1.3l w/ 80k miles) gasser. I'd prefer to run the same oil in that engine as well, for simplicity sake. Anybody see a reason why I shouldn't run the Rotella T syn oil in the Suzuki? My instincts say that there is no reason, but I am far from an expert on these matters...I live in northern Nevada and we see subzero occasionally in the winter and near 100 in the summer. Your advice is welcome and appreciated
!
ON EDIT: I run 5k mile change interval in all the engines other than the Cat 15l...
